Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Shahrukh Khan come together again after 17 years for a new advertisement. The two starred together in a quirky advertisement for the iconic spice brand Everest. Interestingly, it was directed by R Balki. Sharing his experience of working with the stalwarts of the film industry, Balki said in a statement, “I think this is the first time that Amitji and Shahrukh are seen together in an advertisement. It was an iconic shoot. They were like two friends meeting on the sets after years… We were all excited of course but they were even more so… It was like shooting with two legendary kids. Shooting has never been so enjoyable. I’ve never been more sad that it’s over. They are so sweet and special together and I thank Everest from the bottom of my heart for trusting me for once in my life.
Big B also expressed happiness on getting the opportunity to work with Shahrukh once again. “I have always believed in the power of simplicity, and this campaign encapsulates that essence perfectly. Working with Shah Rukh Khan was an enriching experience and together, we have enjoyed home-cooked meals,” he said.
The pair has previously shared the screen in iconic films like Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
Meanwhile, Shahrukh is currently enjoying the success of director Atlee’s action thriller Jaawan. The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra. In the coming months, he will be seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s next film Dunky opposite Taapsee Pannu.
On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in the upcoming pan-India film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. The film is all set to release in theaters on January 12, 2024. Apart from this, he also has director Ribhu Dasgupta’s next courtroom drama film Section 84.
